Staircases are considered secondary when they have a steep slope (45 °) and are intended for occasional use. These staircases are used to access mezzanine platforms. They use less floor space. For security reasons, the staircases should only be used occasionally and be reserved for company employees who have prior authorisation. The staircases can be used for access to relief roads, emergency exits, etc.
